Pond Filters, Fountains & Water Features, Small Lakes & Dams –
Here is a case study describing a custom fountain and housing design solution, including pump, fittings and equipment installation. This is an example of the best way to build a water feature, but it can be achived using other methods. Instead of re-inforced concrete, either a rubberised lining (30yr warranty) or a fibreglass and brick combination can be used for the construction. The filters, pumps and housing can be modified to suit locataion or budget constraints. Click the images below to enlarge.
Starting with only a cleared patch of lawn, both the position of the water feature and the position of the support equipment is determined. In this instance the Water feature will be placed in the front yard before the residence, with the pump, filters and related equipment placed to the side of the building out of sight. This provides the hiding of both aural and visual elements of the equipment operation that enable the fountain and the water features.
